Tokyo, fabric shopping, mayhem

Going to Tokyo in exactly a week. So much to do, eat, see, buy...

I'm terrible at posting regularly. I have tons of completed sewing projects to share but getting around to modelling and taking photos is always on the bottom of my to-do list. I'll try to do better.

Colette Patterns

This is my dream dress. I followed the Macaron Pattern by Colette Pattern and used Liberty fabric from an awesome shop I found in Antwerp, Belgium. What's even more awesome about this dress are the two hidden pockets in the front pleats. Hurray! Since we're on the topic of macarons, I should share that I tasted my very first macaron when I visited Paris last weekend. I bought them from the beloved Laduree shop. Check out the site because that music in the background is what you hear when that sweet macaron touches your lips.

Heather Ross + Amy Butler

My first attempt at making a collared, button-up shirt using Heather Ross fabric from her Far Far Away collection (orange frogs!) along with Amy Butler's Liverpool pattern. Most definitely using this pattern again. Clear instructions, easy to follow, and the fit was perfect.
